Here’s the thing. We don’t know what the new release of Android is going to be called. Android N is a code-name; so what are they going to call the successor to Marshmallow? The N doesn’t stand for New or Nexus. Judging from the past names, it’s likely that it’ll be named after something sweet. From the original 1.6 Donut to 4.4 KitKat, there’s a clear pattern, and there’s also a reason. Nutella is well-liked while Nougat would be a safe choice. Nerds continues to be mentioned, but it doesn’t have the popularity of the first two mentioned.
