Method 4: Redeem when making a purchase on Google Play
One unconventional way to redeem a Google Play store code is through the checkout process and selecting the payment method as Redeem. To do this simply:

Go through the checkout process until you see the payment method listed.
Step 2.
Next, to the payment method, select the down arrow Redeem.
Step 3.
Enter your code.
Step 4.
Follow the on-screen instructions. Note: This step of redeeming a Google Play gift code in a sum of currency and to be used as a payment method is not available for every device.
