Create an ISO image
Create a virtual machine in Parallels Desktop
Here, we will use the created ISO image to create a Windows 8.1 virtual machine, so select “Install Windows/other OS from DVD/image file” on the left and click “Continue”. It will automatically detect the ISO image on your Mac, so select “Windows 8.1” from it and click “Continue”.
Windows 8-like Windows 7-like
The Windows 8 start screen is difficult to use, so we recommend “Windows 7-like”. Click Windows 8.1 in the Dock Then, the Windows “Control Panel” will appear on your Mac’s desktop like a Mac application like this. See here for other uses and settings of Parallels Desktop.
