The Aston Martin Dbr22 Is Here To Pack Aristocrats Nostrils Full Of Mosquitoes

The DBR22 is an amalgamation of two of Aston’s historical racers. Aston says that the concept’s coachbuilt design evokes the DBR1 and DB3S. The Frank Feely-designed DB3S was introduced in 1953 and while it didn’t win Le Mans, it did take first and second at the Tourist Trophy in the World Sports Car Championship. Another designer, Ted Cutting, then took Feely’s work and refined it into the DBR1. This racer proved to be more successful and Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori piloted one to a win at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans....

The Return Of Party Down Proves The Power Of Cult Love

Even when Party Down started getting positive reviews and came back for a second installment, audiences didn’t really follow: The show’s season two premiere—which, it should be noted, aired on Friday nights at 10 pm—drew just 126,000 viewers, while The Soup, airing over on E!, pulled in 1,123,000 in the same slot. (The evening’s most watched show, Dateline, drew a staggering 7.22 million viewers.) Starz canceled the series a few months later, scuttling the cast and crew’s hopes for a third season amid a regime change in the network brass....

The Taliban Can T Stop Tiktok

Najib, 23, is a bona fide celebrity among young, urban Afghans. A former TV presenter and producer, for the past four years he’s made his living on TikTok, posting comic skits to his 413,000 followers. The Kabul he shows is a world away from the one commonly seen on Western media and features upmarket malls, historic sites surrounded by fields of snow, and cooking sessions with local chefs. In one recent skit, he and fellow TikToker Alee Siddique rolled into a phone shop to ask the owner for an “eggplant”-colored iPhone 14 Pro Max “picked fresh from the bush....

This Cute Groundhog Chewed Up My Car S Wiring Took A Dump On Its Engine And Tried Setting It On Fire

I recently returned from an utterly absurd trip to Australia (which I’ll be writing about soon), only to find that my cars have been broken into by this little bugger: A post shared by David Tracy (@davidntracy) Don’t let that cute face fool you; this groundhog is a menace. We first met a few days ago when I went to pop the hood of my $700 Chevy Tracker. Something was amiss with my windshield wipers and one of my parking lights....

This Failed Little Car Could Have Started Car Sharing In The 1970S

(Welcome to another article by Rex Bennett from The Lane Motor Museum — arguably the quirkiest car museum in the U.S., and a place filled with fascinating automotive history). As Europe dug out of the rubble following World War II, the idea of car-sharing emerged as a solution to the growing problem of getting a car in an economy that was rebooting. The concept was simple: If you can’t afford to buy a car, share one....

This Incredible Old Amphibious Isuzu Concept Reminds Me Of The Wrongest Assumption In The Automotive Industry

Before I get into the details of the car, let me just politely seize you by the upper arm with a demented grip, as tight and desperate as a jumper cable clamp, and demand that you hear me out when it comes to why I think – no, believe – that amphibious cars make sense. You see, I live in a place where there are lakes around, and I see plenty of boats of various sizes in people’s yards and driveways....

This Old Ford Styling Film Is Incredible And Features A Car That Feels Like The Template For Modern Suvs

First, though, watch the video: It’s amazing that Ford decided to start with Egyptian chariots to begin their wheeled-vehicle stylistic journey, which shows a real commitment to telling the whole story. The video then transitions to Ford’s specific designs and concepts, focusing on three main concept vehicles: the 1963 Allegro Fastback Coupé (which was part of the early Mustang design story) , the Cougar II GT car that feels like Ford’s answer to the Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray, and the one I want to focus on here, the Aurora station wagon concept....

This Optical Illusion Of A Yawning Chasm In A Tunnel Messes With A Driver S Head Just Like It Ll Mess With Yours

Really, this is just a video about the power of water to deceive us, visually, and it’s absolutely worth watching, so, here, do so: While this was posted on Reddit and Twitter and probably Friendster and everywhere else, the original source seems to have been this Instagram account, now made private, likely because this video has been blowing up so much. We’re not necessarily in the business of jumping on every driving-related video that goes viral, but there really is something deeply and strangely satisfying about this one....
