Method 1: Android Device Manager

Not only does the app work flawlessly, once you install it on your device, but it also lets you install it on your Android phone remotely, meaning that if your phone is already lost or stolen, and you haven’t installed the app as yet, then you don’t really need to worry because installing the app remotely is quite easy.

Download and install the Android Lost app on your Android smartphone. You can download it using the Google Play button below.

If you have your phone with you, then that’s great. However, if your phone is already lost or is stolen, you can install the app remotely through your PC via your Google account. Your device, however, will need to have internet access and should be logged in with your Google account.

Step 2

Once the app is installed, simply launch it using your app drawer, and the app should automatically register with your Google account. If, however, the device has  already been stolen or lost, you’ll need to send an SMS to your device with the words “androidlost register.” This should automatically register the app with your Google account remotely.

Step 3

Now, you’ll need to use your PC in order to track your Android device. Open the Android Lost website on your PC and sign in with your Google ID and password. Once you sign in, you will be automatically connected to your Android device through Android Lost.

Step 4

Once you are logged in, you will be able to the get the exact location of your Android device via GPS. Also, you will be able to perform additional features such as reading messages on your phone, ringing your phone, locking your device, wiping and erasing everything from your device and using the camera to take pictures.
