This begins the rooting process. Within moments, Cydia will install something called SuperSU binary. SuperSU binary is what other apps call upon when they need superuser rights or privileged access.

After rooting is complete, close Cydia and disconnect your Samsung from your computer.

Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power key for about 10-20 seconds.

Step 2: Install Kingo Root on your PC.

It is compatible with Windows only. If you are working with a Mac you will want to utilize a different method, such as Method 3 above.

Step 3: Open the Kingo Root software and run it.

Double-click the desktop icon. It will let you know that you are not connected.

Step 4: Plug your Android device in via USB cable.

Kingo Root will install the driver for you if you haven’t done so already. Be sure to read the Notifications so you know what you are getting into.

Step 5: Start Rooting

Click the “Root” button. This initiates the rooting process.

Step 6: Finish and Reboot

Click “Finish” to reboot your device. It usually doesn’t take long; just a few minutes.

Step 7: Verify SuperSU installation

Verify that the SuperSU app has been installed. It should be present on your Applications menu. You will want to check because this is an indication that rooting was successful.

Method 5: Root Samsung Galaxy Star with One Click Root
