There are various privacy concerns connected with using the Google Assistant, such as: Google Assistant activating randomly, etc. Google has addressed this concern with its latest update that expands privacy controls. These problems can raise paranoia, especially to those who value privacy. If the app affects your battery life and if the privacy concerns give you a feeling of fear, then it’s best to deactivate the application.

Get rid of Google Assistant with these Easy Methods

Note: You cannot delete your Google Assistant. All you can do is disable the feature. I enumerated steps on how to deactivate the Google Assistant on your phone. Please bear in mind that these steps vary from one phone manufacturer to another. Your LG won’t have the same interface as a Samsung phone. Nevertheless, follow these steps and find similar commands on your Android device. If the first one doesn’t work for you, try the succeeding steps.

1. Instruct Google Assistant to turn itself off

Getting rid of your Google Assistant is as easy as saying “OK Google” or “Hey Google” and telling it to turn itself off. If you’ve assigned another trigger word for Google Assistant to launch, say your magic words instead of the standard “OK Google” or “Hey Google”. Otherwise, go ahead and say “Ok Google, Turn Yourself Off” to your device. It will give you instructions on how to disable the Google Assistant based on your device. Nevertheless, doing so won’t fully disable the Google Assistant. Some reports state that it still continues to pop-up, asking the user to enable it again after inserting their headphones. While the majority of us agree that Google Assistant is useful, especially in smart homes, it still isn’t perfect and there are still a lot of improvements to implement.
