Instant Access Using the Notifications Panel
The easiest, fastest, and the most straight-forward option to access a file after you download it is through your Notifications Panel. When you download an image or a file using Android devices, a notification will appear in your Notification Panel. Opening it from there is as simple as swiping down to access your notifications and tapping on the downloaded file.

- Download the file (Wait for it to reach 100% download)

Try the Downloads Folder
If you don’t want to open a downloaded file right away, or if you swiped away the notification, perhaps the most obvious location to look for a recently downloaded file is in the Downloads folder on your Android. This is a system-created folder that stores all your downloaded files. If you’re a long-time Android user, it’s likely you already know about this option and can access the Downloads folder through the default File Manager app. Usually named as “My Files”, you can find it in your app drawer. Once you launch the My Files app, you’ll see a folder called Downloads or Download History. To make it easier to find the file you’re looking for, you can use the “Sort by” option to sort them either ascending or descending, and organize them by time, type, name, or size.

One of our favorite thing about Android is the abundance of apps available. From simple tasks to more complex ones, they’re all available on the Google Play store. In this case, we recommend using Mi File Manager to find your downloaded files on your phone. This app is fairly simple and easy to use. It also gives you access to advanced options through an easy-to-use interface. After downloading the app, use it to navigate to the Downloads folder on your phone easily. From there, you’ll see all of the files, images, and videos you’ve downloaded and can tap on any of them to open and view them. You can also use the Mi File Manager to organize files, downloads, and media content. You can move them to different folders, or share your files by email with friends.

- Select your primary or internal storage
- Open the Downloads folder to view all downloaded files

Find Downloaded Files Easily!
There are as many options as there are Android users when it comes to finding downloaded files on your Android device. There’s no one right way to do it and the best way is a matter of preference.
