Method 2: Using the Hardware

You can also use a combination of the physical buttons to factory reset your device. To factory reset your Nexus 6P using buttons, follow below steps:

Power off your 6P.Hold the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.Select the option called Recovery Mode by using the Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to confirm your selection.When you see the signature Android robot on screen, hold down the Power button.

Keep it held down, and press the Volume Up button.In this menu, use the volume buttons again to navigate to Wipe Date/Factory Reset.Use the Power button to confirm your selection.Select Yes – Delete All User Data.Again, use the Power button to confirm.When prompted, reboot the device. When it’s done, your phone will reset, and it’ll be ready to use.
