When you first received your Nexus 6P, you could be forgiven for thinking Huawei forgot to put in the manual by accident. As it turns out, they just didn’t think to include it with the device. (Because it doesn’t actually exist.) Instead, Huawei offers a slightly generic user manual to download that takes you through the new features found on 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s called the Android Quick Start Guide. Here are a few download links and information about how you can get the Android Quick Start guide directly on your phone or computer so that it can be read at your leisure.

Method 1: Direct Download from Huawei

One of the best ways to get the manual is to directly download it from the Huawei website. You can download this file easily with either your phone or a computer’s web browser. (It’ll save and download as a Word file on your computer.) Here’s a direct link to the download page. To get the file on your device or computer;

Step 1:

You will be able to download the relevant file by clicking the View Now text located by the icon that looks like an eye.

Step 2:

It will start the download on your computer/phone. We also have a number of guides and articles about the device, which can be found using the search bar located in the top right of the screen. If you’re interested in finding out more about your new phone, it’s a great place to get started, although it is the same generic Quick Start guide that is found in the App Store, so if you want to download it to your phone it’s probably quicker to follow the second method on this list.

Method 2: Download the Android Quick Start Guide from the App Store

The official quick start guide for 6.0 Marshmallow is available for download from the Play Store, and it only takes a few steps to get it downloaded to your device. (It can also be downloaded to a tablet, laptop, computer or eReader.) The guide has information about Android 6.0 Marshmallow, not the 6P specifically. To be able to read the guide on your smartphone, you will need the Google Play Books app installed to your device. (It should automatically be installed to your phone, but if not you can download it for free on the Play Store.) It has information about the new features you’ll find with the 6.0

Step 1:

Download the Android Quick Start (Marshmallow) directly from the Play Store.

Step 2:

You’ll need Google Play Books installed on your device.

Step 3:

Open the Google Play Books app, and find and tap on the quick start guide you previously downloaded from the store. You should now be able to read the guide as and when you like from here.

It’s a shame that they don’t package the user manual with the 6P, but at least it’s easy enough to download and view it whenever you like thanks to the internet.
