I highly recommend that you at least install two of these apps on your Android if you are interested in keeping track of gas prices. While, the prices have remained stable for almost 2 years now, it is still better to know the current prices of gas instead of going in blind. Thankfully, the prices are quite low these days as compared to past years so, you don’t have to worry that much. All of these apps update their prices very frequently and they even list them according to the area. Note: The 5 best gas price apps for Android were tested on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone. For obvious reasons all of the apps on the list require an active Internet connection to update the prices. While I wasn’t able to test the apps in the US, I crosschecked the prices on the Internet and they checked out perfectly. There were no problems faced during the testing.

1. Fuelio

There are very few lists that have a decisive winner and this one is one of them. When it comes to great interface, easily accessible information and fast response times, Fuelio does the job well. This app comes with a very well-designed interface and is highly accessible. By using this app you can easily track your car expenses, fuel fill-ups and oil changes, car’s mileage, expenses, auto service, and gas costs. This is a very deep app that keeps track of everything you enter. You’ll easily be able to study the overview of mileage and gas costs of one or more vehicles. That’s not all, though, if you have two fuels in one car, for example, one tank for gas and another for LPG, this app will also be able to keep track of that. So no matter where you are, you’ll easily be able to measure your gas expenses. Free Version

2. Fuel Buddy

Fuel Buddy is strikingly similar to the first app in the list but there are some inconsistencies. The number one problem I had with this app is that the text is too small, my dad struggled to read it on his phone. I would’ve liked an option to increase the text size within the app. Apart from that the app is designed really well and is really great to use. The app supports multiple vehicles, saves your data in the cloud and allows you to sync across multiple devices. You can also export the logs in CVS files that you can easily access on any other PC. Another good thing about this app is that it allows you to share data instantly with other members of your family sharing your car, this allows you to keep track how much your cousin drove. 3. Drivvo

Drivvo is a great app if you own a car. It not only helps you in maintaining a proper fuel cycle but also keep your ship running well. While other apps only aim to give you gas prices for Android, this one goes above and beyond that. The app allows you to manage the cost of fuel consumption, economy as well as car maintenance expenses. By using this app you gain control over the financials regarding the vehicle. From tracking average miles per gallon to monthly expenses or from averages per day to fuel consumption, you’ll be able to gauge them all. Free Version

4. FullTank

If you want to get straight down to business, this app is made for you. There is a search bar on top of the screen and all you need to do, is type in your city. The app will then display a lot of different fuel prices near your vicinity. I find it very efficient and helpful. You can even scroll through different price listings and see them according to the distance or bright price. Generally speaking, this app is great if you want a good idea of local gas prices. Not much can be said about the interface, though, it is very basic and gets the job done and at the end of the day, this is all that matters. Free Version

5. Gas Guru

This is another great gas price app for Android and it even comes with a detailed fuel map. Gas guru not only helps you save time and effort but also money. By using this app you’ll be able to quickly find the best gas prices around you. That’s not all, you can also find restaurants, coffee shops, auto repair shops, roadside assistance as well as ATMs with this app. In short, anything you need on the road is provided by this app. The app does use your location to find the nearest and cheapest gas station. You’ll also be able to compare gas prices near your work, and or any other favorite location. Free Version

Conclusion

These were some of the best gas price apps for Android that will help you not only save a little bit of time but also a lot of money in the long run. Even if you save five bucks from a full gas fill, you can get a quality taco to eat. Free food at the same price? Well, sign me up!
