A lot of people are worried about getting the latest Android version on their smartphones. One way to do that is to ditch your three-year-old device and pony up the money for one of these great Android Phones with Android 6.0 right out of the box. Yes, the Android 5.0 Lollipop was not that popular with the masses, but Google quickly recovered and released Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The latest iteration of the mobile OS we love brings in a lot of changes, especially when it comes to managing battery life. The best Android phones with Android 6.0 are all almost top-of-the-line devices with amazing specs and features to boot. I really enjoy listing flagship devices from manufacturers and putting them against each other. This is a fun little ritual I performed almost every year at this time, even though I have no intention of purchasing any of the smartphones for myself. Thankfully, now I get to write about them and inform others about my findings so they can make informed decisions. The best phones with Android 6.0 Marshmallow are fully loaded and are available for purchase right now. Let’s dive into the best phones with the latest Android version. Note: The smartphones in this list are not in any particular order. I simply selected the 10 best based on the specs and general usage and made a list of best Android Phones with Android 6.0.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphone was a great device, but it turned off a lot of power users due to the lack of a microSD card slot. Thankfully, Samsung came out swinging this time around and addressed most of the issues people had with their previous flagship devices. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is truly a flagship device with a lot of cutting-edge features. Mainly Samsung has added the much demanded microSD card slot as well as made the unibody design waterproof. The smartphone comes with a 5.5 inches screen which is super AMOLED in nature. The smartphone also improved upon the back camera by reducing the megapixel size but increasing the overall pixel size. Inside Samsung has fitted their own Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor combined with 4 GB of RAM. However, the most striking thing about this smartphone is its ridiculously attractive design. You actually have to see this in real life to gauge the beauty it radiates. Notable Feature: The almost bezel-less look the smartphone exhibits feels surreal.

Google Nexus 6P

At this time last year Huawei was no way to be seen on the Android map but now it is a well-known entity around the globe. The Chinese manufacturer really stepped up their game and released a premium Android device in the shape of Google Nexus 6P. The 5.7 inch quad HD screen combined with a stellar fingerprint sensor made this a package worth drooling over. The aluminum unibody design of the smartphone surprised everyone. The front facing dual speakers also added into the multimedia abilities of the already great smartphone. Check out our Nexus 6P versus article to learn more about the device. Notable Feature: The fingerprint scanner is extremely fast.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium

Sony has been releasing smartphones with the exact same shape for almost 4 years now and to be honest fans are quite disappointed. However, the company uses premium materials in this version of the Z5 and smartphone feels very good in your hand. The back of the phone is made of glass and the accents are of metal, so naturally the smartphone feels a tad bit heavier, but it’s the good kind of heavy. The device is also water and dust resistant, which has been the case with the previous models of the smartphone. The biggest change in terms of specs is the 5.5 inches screen which comes at 4K resolution. Personally, I think this is overkill on such a small screen but the 801 PPI looks extremely sharp. On the back, you will also find the 23-megapixel camera and we all know Sony make some compelling sensors and this one is no different. Notable Feature: The 4K screen is as sharp as it can be.

Huawei Mate 8

Huawei released their Mate 8 smartphone after they released the Google Nexus 6P smartphone. Naturally, a lot of people are curious how they would make their own device post the Nexus hype. Surprisingly, the Chinese manufacturer delivered an astounding device with an astounding battery life. I had the pleasure of using this device for around three days and I only charged it once. The 4000 MAH battery inside this beast of a smartphone keeps the 6-inch full HD screen on for a very long time. As a matter of fact, at the end of my test run the battery counter showed seven hours of the screen on time. This one smartphone has effectively wound every the smartphone that won’t meet this kind of battery life for me. On the inside, we will find a capable octa core processor that scores higher than anything we have ever tested on benchmarks. It even leaves behind the fabled iPhone 6S behind in the multicore benchmark. Notable Feature: The 4000 mAh battery inside the smartphone is almost magical.

Google Nexus 5X

If you are a fan of smaller smartphones, Google also released the Nexus 5X smartphone for you. The 5.2 inches midrange smartphone comes with a full HD IPS LCD screen. Inside, the specs are almost the same as the Huawei-made Nexus 6P, which is wonderful if you want raw power in a manageable form factor. The back of the LG-made smartphone consists of a 12.3 megapixel camera and dual LED flash. There is also a fingerprint scanner behind the smartphone which works surprisingly great. Inside There Is a QUALCOMM Snapdragon 808 processor and 2 GB of RAM. If you’re interested in purchasing the smartphone I also recommend that you check out the Google Nexus 5X comparison article we wrote. Notable Feature: The small size and great performance makes this a unique combo to have.

Samsung Galaxy S7

This is the main smartphone from the Korean manufacturer and it comes in a relatively smaller form factor. The smartphone has a 5.1 inch QHD Super AMOLED screen with a great 576 ppi. On the back you will find the same camera that is on the Galaxy S7 Edge so there are no compromises in terms of specs here. The 12 MP camera comes with a F1.7 aperture size and a larger 1.4 μm pixel size allowing more light to hit the sensor. The processor is also the same, the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 and the smartphone has 4 GB of RAM. Notable Feature: The small size and beastly power makes Samsung Galaxy S7 a true flagship.

LG V10

LG has made some awesome smartphones in the past couple of years and the LG V 10 is another addition to the list. The 5.7 inch smartphone comes with an IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1400 x 2560 pixels. That’s not all though, there is a secondary screen right above the main one which shows you to notifications and stays always on. All the claims that the second screen won’t take a lot of battery life are true as well. The smartphone is designed really well with a removable back that gives you easy access to the removable battery as well as a microSD card slot. The LG smartphone also comes with two front facing cameras, one is a standard one while the other is a wide-angle one for capturing more in one photo. The smartphone deserves a spot on the best selfie smartphones list as well. Notable Feature: The second screen and dual friends facing cameras are exciting.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The premier phablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 5 launched with a lot of fanfare. At one hand there were power users disappointed that the Korean manufacturer decided to remove the microSD card slot as well as the removable battery. On the other hand, a lot of people were happy because the newer unibody design looks absolutely fantastic. The Samsung galaxy Note 5 comes with a 7 inch quad HD screen with the usual Super AMOLED nature. There is also the S-Pen which makes the smartphone stand out from the crowd. On the back there is a 16 megapixel camera while the front facing one clocks at five megapixels. Overall the smartphone is capable of delivering a stellar media as well as work-oriented experience. Notable Feature: The S-Pen is very useful if you like taking notes on your smartphone.

LG G5

The latest flagship from LG, the LG G5 changes a lot of things. While Samsung played it safe this year with upgrades to a few different things, LG took the leap and changed the whole design philosophy behind their flagship line. The LG G5 comes with a metallic body, a fingerprint sensor and a 5.3 inches screen. But that is not why it is on this list, it is because of the unique design the smartphone has. The smartphone allows you to remove the bottom side of the phone and replace it with a number of different modules. For example, LG has released the camera Mario which allows you to use physical buttons to shoot photos. With more modules on the way, LG G5 seems like a future proof option right now. Notable Feature: The removable underside and the modular design of the smartphone is unique in many ways.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

Even if it’s a little bit older, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is still one of the best smartphones around. Now that you can purchase it for a little bit cheaper, it is certainly an enticing option. The 5.7 inches of the screen real estate powered by a quad HD Super AMOLED screen makes the smartphone very beautiful. The unibody design with glass back and metallic accents feels premium to the touch. The smartphone back to 16 megapixel camera on the back as well as a five megapixel front. Notable Feature: The smartphone has a high screen to body ratio coming at 76.62%.

Conclusion

By no means are these the only great Android phones with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board. I’m pretty sure a lot of smartphones will get released this year with Marshmallow installed on them. A lot of smartphones are also up for an OS upgrade from their respective manufacturers as well. But these are the few smartphones which are readily available right now for purchase.
